The Sligo and Leitrim Tech Cluster Working Group was formed in 2018 following the publication of an ICT/FinTech skills report by the North West Regional Skills Forum which identified the ICT sector amongst the fastest growing in the region with significant numbers of new high tech jobs being created in the coming years.
About the region of Sligo and Leitrim.
This group is comprised of many of the leading ICT companies based in Sligo and Leitrim including Overstock, LiveTiles, Cora Systems, SL Controls, Jalmia Solutions, Trojan, Compupac IT Solutions, Clanwilliam Group as well as employers from other sectors such as the HSE who recruit significant numbers of IT graduates locally. Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim ETB, IT Sligo and the Regional Skills Forum North West are also represented on this group.
The overall objective of the Working Group is to promote working and studying in ICT locally. The target audiences include those already living in the region as well as those located in other regions who are perhaps unaware of the opportunities and benefits to be got from living in Sligo and Leitrim and working in ICT.
The Sligo and Leitrim Tech Cluster group will continue to engage with local education and training providers in the region as well as organise events that promote working in the sector locally.
